Showing Compassion Toward Others

You’ve heard the phrase, “it is always better to give than to receive.” Because of the laws of attraction and the idea that we are all interconnected in this big universe, the phrase may be properly amended to read “it is always better to give than to receive, for in giving, you will receive back abundance.”

What is a random act of kindness?

A random act of kindness is any action done to help someone else. It may be some physical act like helping an old lady cross the street, or it may be emotional, like complimenting someone who is feeling down to help lift his or her mood. It may even be something done for an animal. It is any action that is completed just for kindness’ sake and for no other reason.

Why are random acts of kindness important?

Random acts of kindness are essential to living a life filled with abundance. The very act of practicing a random act of kindness projects abundance. It says “I am overflowing with love, wealth, and I am a fulfilled person.” Sharing with others, especially others in need demonstrates that we have no need to hold on to our possessions as we have so much, and we know that more will be coming to us. It is a manifestation of positive energy propagating out from us and into the world.

There are many opportunities for random acts of kindness through-out the day and at all times. It can be something as small as offering a smile to the cashier as she’s wringing up your groceries at the supermarket, or it can be as grand as giving away a car to someone in need of transportation. The scale doesn’t matter. All that matters is that you act with kindness and love towards your fellow earth inhabitants.

Showing compassion to others by doing random acts of kindness is not only important in achieving abundance in your own life, it is essential to becoming a fully realized human. Compassion towards others shows emotional depth and those lacking compassion, those who begrudge others the smallest kindness will never know the fullness of what it means to be alive.
